Costantino & D'Agostino is a Law Office that endevors to understand the needs and concerns of our clients. Our ONLY area of practice is Family Law, with a major concentration in Divorce, Custody and Support issues. However, in the past few years we are pleased to be doing a greater number of Adoptions.

The Primary Residential Parent is Dead.... Effective October 1, 2008 the most sweeping legislation related to children, in divorce and paternity actions, comes from Senate Bill 2532. Its impact is so extensive it demands a revision of many statutes. The new law eliminates the terms custody, custodial parent non-custodial parent, primary residence, primary residential parent and visitation from Florida Statutes, these terms are now abolished in Florida! Thus the term "Primary Residential Parent" is dead, but so is the term "Non-Custodial Parent." This law forces parents involved in litigation over children to examine and decide responsibility for certain considerations of shared parental responsibility. But the most important product from the new law is the establishment of the required Parenting Plan.
